David Driscoll is a yoga teacher, writer, and father to three young girls. In 2014, he completed a 200-hr training at the Hatha Yoga Center in Seattle, and in 2020, he finished a 500-hr training with Tejas Yoga in Chicago. David has trained in Ashtanga, Iyengar, and tantric lineages, and his classes exhibit these influences while incorporating non-traditional forms to improve mobility, stability, and ease in the body and mind. Students can expect a blend of heating movement and restorative pause with an emphasis on steady meditative inquiry into the experience of the movements and postures. Pranayama (breath work), mudras (gestures), bandhas (energy locks), and seated meditation are staples of the class. Rather than handing out practices and teachings, David’s aim is to help others learn to guide their own yogic inquiry. You can find out more at suburbanyogadad.com.
